Juneau Gold Rush Days hosts traditional mining and logging competitions. Members of the public are welcome to try their hand at some of the events! We even have competitions for kids and teens.

Come watch or participate in the mining and logging-specific events such as jackleg drilling, spike driving, hand mucking, axe throwing, speed climbing, hand bucking, log rolling, and more!

Safety is our top priority. Competitions are supervised by professionals and all competitors are required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment required for events and follow all event rules and regulations. Contestants must be drug and alcohol free to compete. Competitors must attest that they are familiar with and qualified to run equipment and engage in the activities for which they entered.

Competitors must register for competition events in-person at Juneau Gold Rush Days.
